Questo articolo offre un’analisi critica e documentata del territorio di Calatabiano tra il XIV e il XVII secolo, concentrandosi sulla continuità giuridica e sulle strutture insediative. L’indagine si basa su atti notarili, privilegi, bolla papale e documenti di cancelleria regionale. This article provides a critical and documented analysis of the territory of Calatabiano from the 14th to the 17th century, focusing on juridical continuity and settlement structures. The research is based on notarial deeds, privileges, papal bulls, and regional chancery documents. Each source is transcribed, identified, and critically analyzed, with precise indication of evidential value and interpretive limits. The article integrates micro-toponymic, cartographic, and prosopographic perspectives, delivering a comprehensive and rigorously verified overview of the social, institutional, and patrimonial network of the fief.
