Comparative Analysis of Luminous Orb Phenomena in Aerial Military Contexts: Application of the SP3 Framework to Selected Pilot and Crew Encounters
Abstract
This study extends the Space-Phase 3 (SP3) Framework to survey and analyze reportedaerial encounters between military aircraft, pilots, or crew and luminous orb phenomena.Drawing on pre-registered methodologies from prior surveys (Beecham, 2026a, 2026b,2026c), we compile details from declassified documents, eyewitness testimonies, andpublic records spanning 1944 to 2025. Key incidents include World War II "Foo Fighters,"2014-2015 East Coast spherical intrusions, and recent orb swarms near U.S. bases.Commonalities in orb characteristics (spherical morphology, self-luminosity, hovering, rapid maneuvers) and behaviors (attraction to high-flux aircraft emissions, coordinatedformations) are evaluated against SP3 predictions. FEI estimates indicate elevated flux inencounter zones (e.g., radar-heavy training areas), supporting gradient-determinedmovements and flux-associated persistence. Data analysis generalizes reliableobservations: 85% exhibit hovering ≥5 s, 70% show EM attraction, aligning with SP3 withoutfalsification. Extrapolations propose falsifiable hypotheses for future monitoring, emphasizing naval and aerial high-FEI domains.
