Adaptive Quantum Risk Profiling: Interference-Based Uncertainty Quantification for Preventive Psychiatry
Abstract
Title: Adaptive Quantum Risk Profiling (AQRP): Simulation Code and Results for Interference-Based Uncertainty Quantification in Preventive Psychiatry Description: This dataset contains the complete replication package for Adaptive Quantum Risk Profiling (AQRP) — a novel application of quantum computing to mental health research. AQRP uses an 8-qubit quantum circuit to encode clinical risk factors as quantum superpositions, extracting interference visibility to identify clinical profiles whose risk trajectories are structurally indeterminate. Key features: First application of quantum computing to uncertainty quantification in preventive psychiatry Circuit parameters derived from MEPS 2008–2019 data (84,653 person-years; 1,847 Bipolar II Disorder conversions) via exact amplitude encoding: θᵢ = 2 arcsin(√pᵢ) Demonstrates that visibility collapse in ~23% of clinical profiles is driven by destructive interference between off-diagonal elements of the reduced density matrix Includes counterfactual intervention simulations generating testable hypotheses about non-additive treatment effects (e.g., Sleep + Anxiety synergy; Sleep + Social Support antagonism) Contents: AQRP_Replication_Code.zip — Qiskit implementation (Python 3.10), classical analysis scripts, and requirements.txt AQRP_Simulation_Results.csv — Interference visibility (V) and Re(ρ₀₁) values for all 128 binary clinical profiles AQRP_MEPS_Parameters.csv — Mapping from MEPS marginal probabilities to RY rotation angles Clinical relevance:While classical uncertainty quantification methods (e.g., Conformal Prediction) compress non-additive interactions into scalar bounds, AQRP preserves the geometry of clinical indeterminacy through amplitude interference. This representational framework offers a new mathematical grammar for understanding why certain clinical profiles are inherently unpredictable — with direct implications for preventive psychiatry and personalized intervention design. Code availability: All simulations performed using Qiskit 1.0 with AerSimulator (statevector method, 10,000 shots).
