Abstract

This dataset contains the chromosome-scale genome assembly (v1.0) and structural annotations of yuzu (Citrus junos). Methods: Genomic DNA was sequenced using Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) and assembled into contigs using hifiasm. The contigs were scaffolded into pseudochromosomes with RagTag, using the SWO (sweet orange) genome as a reference. Repetitive elements were soft-masked, and structural gene annotation was performed (e.g., using Helixer). Files included in this repository: Yuzu_Refseq_v1.0_swo.softmasked.fasta.gz: The chromosome-level genome assembly (soft-masked). Yuzu_Refseq_v1.0_swo_helixer.gff: Structural gene annotation (GFF format). Yuzu_Refseq_v1.0_swo_cds.fa: Coding sequences (CDS) of the predicted genes. Yuzu_Refseq_v1.0_swo_protein.fa: Translated protein sequences. Yuzu_Refseq_v1.0_swo_transcripts.fa: Transcript sequences. Yuzu_Refseq_v1.0_swo.fa.out.gff: Annotation of repetitive elements.
