Research Methodology in Agriculture
Abstract
Abstract Research methodology in agriculture provides systematic procedures for generating scientific knowledge to improve crop productivity, livestock performance, natural resource management, and rural livelihoods. Due to the biological, environmental, and socio-economic complexity of agricultural systems, research in this field integrates experimental, observational, and social science methods. This review synthesizes key components of agricultural research methodology, including research approaches, experimental and survey designs, sampling strategies, data collection methods, measurement and data analysis, and ethical considerations. Emphasis is placed on rigor, validity, and applicability of findings to real-world agricultural systems. Keywords: Qualitative, Quantitative, Mixed-methods, exploratory, descriptive, or experimental designs
