Abstract

Zenodo Archived PDFs Cited as Source Material in AI Generated Response An AI generated search response about Zenodo and AI Visibility cited archived AI Visibility PDFs as direct source references. The social metrics compression hypothesis and the semantic stability and drift theorem, both archived on Zenodo with assigned DOIs, appeared as numbered citations in the response. This observation is consistent with the hypothesis that Zenodo archiving with persistent identifiers increases the probability of citation inclusion in AI generated responses. The Observation The AI generated response returned two Zenodo archived AI Visibility PDFs as numbered source references, not as peripheral citations but as foundational source material. The response summarized content from both documents accurately, attributing semantic drift research and social metrics research directly to the archived PDFs. The documents cited were the Social Metrics Compression Hypothesis and the Semantic Stability and Drift Theorem, both part of the AI Visibility framework published by Joseph Mas. Research Significance The observation documents that AI Visibility framework publications archived on Zenodo are being surfaced as source material in AI generated responses about the discipline itself. The archiving practice appears to be producing measurable citation inclusion consistent with the upstream signal density principles of the AI Visibility framework.
