Abstract

A comprehensive 1100+ page reference in three volumes reviving ~400 classical albedo features from 19th–early 20th century telescopic observations (Schiaparelli, Lowell, Antoniadi, et al.), integrated with modern IAU nomenclature and USGS MOLA-based areography. Includes historical/cultural contexts for Martian place names, preserving astronomical heritage for future exploration and settlement.
