TIME AS A DERIVATIVE OF THE STATE OF THE PHYSICAL MEDIUM
Abstract
In this work, a phenomenological model is proposed in which time is treated not as a fundamental independent coordinate, but as a derivative quantity determined by the state of the physical medium, understood as a universal carrier of physical processes. A medium state parameter, ρ, is introduced together with an associated effective coefficient K(ρ), which characterizes the local properties of the medium and determines the rate at which physical processes occur. It is shown that the effects of kinematic and gravitational time dilation can be interpreted as consequences of changes in the state of the medium, rather than as fundamental geometric properties of space-time. The proposed approach is consistent with experimentally confirmed relativistic effects and may be regarded as an alternative phenomenological interpretation of the nature of time and gravitation.
