Abstract

The most critical issue in enhancing the competence of students studying in the field of folk instruments is often reflected in one central problem: performance exists, but there are no clear criteria; and even when criteria are present, they do not function consistently. As a result, students do not clearly understand in what direction they are progressing, parents see the grade but do not comprehend the reasons behind the development, and teachers may remain at the level of “my ear senses it.” Since children’s music and art schools are defined as a non-compulsory, supplementary type of education within the continuous education system, assessment in such institutions should serve not merely as control, but as a management tool that supports the creative growth of the student..
