Abstract

This deliverable, developed under Task 2.2 of the TREASURE project, analyses financing strategies and organisational models for Pit Thermal Energy Storage (PTES) projects, addressing the need for robust business cases in capital-intensive, long-term investments. It provides a structured overview of feasible financing mechanisms aligned with different ownership structures and regulatory contexts, drawing on case studies from TREASURE demonstrators and insights from a dedicated workshop to support effective PTES implementation across Europe.
