Abstract

This document is the Final Report (Deliverable D9) of the ACtIon4Cooling project. The ACtIon4Cooling project aims to contribute to this research by investigating existing Earth Observation (EO) data to enhance our understanding of SRM-related processes and improve monitoring capabilities. The project's work focuses on SRM detection and attribution, with an emphasis on leveraging natural analogues to study potential radiative effects. Starting from the scientific understanding of aerosol and cloud effects related to SRM, a solid scientific basis for monitoring, detection capabilities of SRM activities is developed. By making use of observations from space-borne, ground-based, air-borne and in-situ platforms, ACtIon4Cooling will actively contribute to define the requirements for a future satellite mission dedicated to monitoring SRM activities.
