Abstract

This article broadly explains the content, essence, and subject of pedagogy theory. It analyzes the historical stages of development of pedagogy and the scientific heritage of world and Uzbek educators. The role of the teaching profession in social development, its importance in the modern education system, and professional qualities of teachers are discussed. The article also provides conclusions about current issues and future prospects of pedagogy.
