Abstract

Influencia Persa en el Judaísmo del Segundo Templo: Una Cartografía Crítica de la Interacción Cultural This study analyzes the cultural and theological interaction between the Persian (Zoroastrian) milieu and Second Temple Judaism during the Achaemenid and early Hellenistic periods. Moving beyond simplistic diffusionist models, it proposes a framework of gradual cultural osmosis mediated by bilingual administrative elites and facilitated by Imperial Aramaic as a vehicle for transregional ideological exchange. The investigation traces the development of the figure of ha-satan from a celestial functionary within the Hebrew Bible to a more individualized adversarial agent in later texts, situating this shift within broader patterns of engagement with dualistic cosmological language. It further examines the emergence of resurrection theology as a response to the problem of divine justice and the growing formalization of hierarchical angelology, employing the case of Asmodeus (Aeshma Daeva) as a linguistic and functional point of comparison. Finally, the analysis of Isaiah 45:7 is interpreted as a polemical delimitation in which Jewish monotheism articulates an intensified claim to divine sovereignty in dialogue with expanding Persian dualistic discourse
