Abstract

The subject of the study. Logistics of petroleum product supply in modern conditions of Ukraine. The purpose of the study is an assessment of transformation processes regarding the logistics of petroleum product supply in UkraineResearch methods. When writing a scientific article, general scientific and special research methods were used: description, analysis, observation, generalization, systematizationWork results. The article provides an assessment of the transformation of the geography and logistics of supplying petroleum products to Ukraine, which occurred as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. The prerequisites for the transformation of geographical boundaries and logistics of supplying hydrocarbons in the current conditions of Ukraine are considered. The role of road transport in creating a mobile hydrocarbon storage system has been determined.Conclusion. Before the war, fuel entered Ukraine mainly in large batches: through pipelines (Russian diesel fuel), by sea or by rail (mainly Belarusian–produced petroleum products).Fuel and lubricants were stored in large volumes at oil depots located throughout the country, and then transported by road (gasoline trucks) to gas stations. As practice has shown, such a scheme of logistics processes was well–established and had the greatest economic benefit, since the cost of transportation by rail, sea or pipeline is much cheaper than transportation by road. With such a scheme, fuel trucks were, in fact, used only for small groups within the country.Due to the outbreak of war, Ukraine had to completely change its geography and rebuild its logistics system for supplying petroleum products. Road transport has become the leading mode of transport in providing the country with petroleum products. In addition, a mobile hydrocarbon storage infrastructure was created based on road transport. Currently, the railway, thanks to the development of border infrastructure, has regained its position in the logistics of supplying petroleum products to Ukraine. There is currently no acute shortage of petroleum products. This means that decisions by both private importers and the state have had a positive effect. Thus, Ukraine has become an example of how it is possible to get rid of energy dependence on the Russian Federation in a short time.
