Abstract

This preprint introduces a scalar dissipative margin framework for nonlinear dynamical systems admitting a coercive–bounded structural decomposition. Within this class, the margin μ parameterizes exponential stability rate, L² robustness bounds, and geometric proximity to instability. Regular and degenerate parametric transitions are characterized via properties of the critical surface μ(θ)=0. A nonlinear example and numerical illustration are provided. This manuscript is a preprint and has not yet undergone peer review.
