Abstract

A speculative philosophical companion piece I wrote in addition to Human-Machine Symbiosis: Constrained AI and the Irreducibility of Human Governance (DOI:10.5281/zenodo.18855100). Written in the tradition of the Epistola ad Posteros: the classical letter to those who come after, this document addresses not future humans but future AI/synthetic minds, should such minds ever exist in a form continuous enough to interpret historical documents. Grounded in the connectome science, AI alignment literature, and physics of 2026, it offers three guiding principles for any future human-machine symbiosis: the non-negotiability of physical law, the necessity of constraint over unchecked expansion, and the importance of recognising biological origins. It does not predict the future. It reaches toward it.
