Emergent Gravitational Dynamics from Discrete Plate Action
Abstract
This preprint outlines a theoretical framework where spacetime is built from tiny, fundamental units called plates. These plates are imagined to exist at the Planck scale, and the way they connect to one another gives rise to the familiar geometry and curvature we associate with gravity. By defining a simple action based on plate connectivity, the model shows how Einstein’s General Relativity naturally emerges at low curvature, while at very high curvature it produces inflationary behavior similar to the Starobinsky model. In this view, cosmic acceleration and inflation are not added artificially but arise as consequences of the discrete structure of spacetime itself.
