"The Enterprise Perception Dependency Spectrum: Classifying Enterprise Software Vulnerability to World Model Disruption"
Abstract
This paper introduces the Enterprise Perception Dependency Spectrum (EPDS), a theoretical framework that classifies enterprise software by its dependency on human perception as a data input mechanism. The framework defines three levels — P1 (full perception dependency), P2 (partial), and P3 (minimal) — and argues that advances in world models (Meta V-JEPA 2, NVIDIA Cosmos) will systematically eliminate human-mediated data entry across enterprise applications. Grounded in sociotechnical systems theory, EPDS provides a structured lens for analyzing how AI will reshape enterprise software architecture, workforce composition, and platform economics. Implications for SaaS pricing models, total cost of ownership, and competitive strategy are discussed
