Abstract

This document evaluates and maps the current and future regulatory frame- work in the EU, Member States and in third countries affecting textile waste, digitalisation, and sustainability. The Regulatory Landscape Analyse (RLA) looks into how the regulations, initiatives and strategies enable or hinder the circularity strategies. The analysis follows a multi-level approach: it first reviews developments at the level of the European Union (Chapter 2 focussing on ESPR and waste legislation with an annex providing insights in additional legal acts in Chap- ter 7), then turns to selected Member States (Chapter 3) and finally third countries that are particularly relevant in terms of materials streams of used textiles flows and waste management (Chapter 4). Chapter 5 summarises the findings of the analysis on the three aforementioned levels of regulation.
