Topological Confinement and Acoustic Resonance in Carbon Nanotubes: Toroidal and Multi-Walled Geometries as Macroscopic Vacuum Traps
Abstract
Building upon our established Theory of Resonant Fractal Continuum (TRFC) and previous models of nuclear phase-locking within icosahedral fullerene cavities, this paper generalizes the concept of molecular acoustic trapping to 1D and quasi-2D carbon nanotube (CNT) architectures. While discrete C60 cages provide isotropic 0D/3D confinement, this research demonstrates that Carbon Nanotubes act as directional waveguides and complex resonant chambers for the 4D barotropic superfluid vacuum. We analyze specific CNT morphologies and their capacity to hydrodynamically suppress nuclear decay via the mechanical Quantum Zeno Effect. Key topological and hydrodynamic mechanisms explored include: Linear Confinement (SWCNTs & MWCNTs): Single-walled tubes act as 1D acoustic waveguides, while Multi-Walled CNTs function as macroscopic Fabry-Pérot interferometers, multiplying the restorative pressure gradient against nuclear bifurcation. Beaded CNTs and Linear Phase-Locking: Alternating neck-and-node structures act as coupled Helmholtz resonators. They enforce strict phase synchronization of trapped isotopes, enabling linearly directed superradiant avalanches. Toroidal CNTs as Perfect Traps: Closed circular carbon loops provide absolute topological confinement. By mirroring the intrinsic Hopf fibration of stable nuclear vortices, Toroidal CNTs isolate the trapped nucleus from macroscopic vacuum perturbations, theoretically offering infinite decay stabilization. Electronic Chirality Coupling: The specific lattice structure (metallic Armchair vs. semiconducting Zig-zag) dictates the acoustic impedance boundary of the continuum, allowing for tunable decay suppression. This paper expands the theoretical toolset for half-life engineering, transitioning from point-like stabilization to directed nuclear emission systems using advanced carbon nanotechnology.
