BIOECOLOGY OF THE ZAMIOCULCAS ZAMIIFOLIA PLANT
Abstract
This article highlights the bioecological characteristics, botanical description, and significance in interior phytodesign of Zamioculcas zamiifolia (Zamioculcas), a member of the Araceae family. The study analyzes the plant's morphological structure, particularly its water-storing tuberous rhizomes, pinnate compound leaves, and unique flowering biology. Additionally, it describes Zamioculcas's drought tolerance, light requirements, and specific aspects of indoor cultivation, including its moderately toxic properties caused by calcium oxalate crystals. The article serves as a scientific guide for novice florists and phytodesigners to study this "hardy" plant.
