Mapping fundamental problems of healthcare: Plato on the possibility of Open Science, and what can we learn from it?
Abstract
The article deals with the UN Recommendation for Open Science (UROS) and the understanding of knowledge, human existence, and health as propagated by the UROS. It is based on an Aristotelian-Platonic understanding of the said concepts and contrasts them with those propagated by the UROS (ch. 2). It then analyzes the current functionality of healthcare and its logical calculus (ch. 3.1), highlighting the gap in purely theoretical knowledge (ch. 3.2), without which the UROS cannot ultimately guarantee that its strategy will not harm humanity in the medium and long term (ch. 4).
