The Acceleration Void: Effective Accelerationism as Pseudo-Thermodynamic Community Void and the CCRU Genealogy of Epistemic Drift
Abstract
Applies the Void Framework to effective accelerationism (e/acc) — the Silicon Valley movement claiming thermodynamic inevitability for unconstrained AI and technological acceleration. Demonstrates that e/acc appropriates thermodynamic vocabulary (dissipative structures, entropy, Boltzmann) without falsifiable mathematical content, scoring high on opacity and responsiveness while operating at near-zero independence from venture capital incentive structures. Traces the complete genealogy from Nick Land and the CCRU Numogram (Paper 112) through e/acc to contemporary accelerationist communities, showing escalating Pe across the lineage. Positions the Void Framework's actual thermodynamics — Pe = O×R/α, conjugacy theorem, T11 Independence Theorem — as the legitimate successor framework the movement approximated.
