F_Unified Action of Future-Directed Geometry: Deriving Gravity, Quantum Mechanics, and Gauge Fields from the Three Components of the Future Distribution
Abstract
This work develops a unified action principle based on the geometry of future-directed distributions D(u;x), a structure assigned to every spacetime point. Each distribution is characterized by three geometric components—the center μ(x), the width σ(x), and the internal phase κ(x)—which naturally correspond to gravity, quantum fluctuations, and internal gauge degrees of freedom. By introducing a unified action S=∫[(∇μ)2+(∇σ)2+Tr(∇κ)2+V(μ,σ,κ)] d4x du, the fundamental equations of modern physics emerge from a single variational principle. The variation with respect to μ yields the Poisson equation in the weak-field limit, reproducing the gravitational potential of general relativity. Linearization of the width σ and the non-relativistic limit lead to the Schrödinger equation, showing that quantum mechanics arises from fluctuations of the future-directional width. Variation of the internal structure κ produces the gauge connection Aμ=κ−1∂μκ and the curvature Fμν, yielding the Yang–Mills equations for U(1), SU(2), and SU(3). These results demonstrate that gravity, quantum mechanics, and gauge interactions share a common geometric origin in the future-directed distribution. The three components (μ,σ,κ) provide a unified and minimal set of variables from which the fundamental laws of physics can be derived. This framework offers a new geometric foundation for unification and suggests a coherent upstream structure underlying the Standard Model and general relativity.
