Abstract

MAGION is a comprehensive physics-informed computational framework for continuous monitoring, modeling, and forecasting of Earth's magnetospheric shield integrity against high-energy cosmic radiation. The framework integrates eight orthogonal geophysical parameters (Magnetopause Standoff Distance, Neutron Monitor Flux, Kp Geomagnetic Index, Solar Wind Proton Density, Rigidity Cutoff, Total Electron Content, Alfvén Wave Velocity, Forbush Decrease) into a unified Shield Efficiency Index (SEI). Using real-time data from NASA's ACE and DSCOVR satellites, NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center, and global Neutron Monitor networks, MAGION achieves 94.2% forecast accuracy with 4.7±1.2 hour lead time for magnetospheric compression events. Applications include satellite mission planning, polar aviation dosimetry, power grid vulnerability analysis, HF radio communications forecasting, and GPS/GNSS positioning accuracy prediction. Validated against major geomagnetic storms (Halloween 2003, St. Patrick's Day 2015, September 2017). Physics-Informed Neural Network with Transformer-LSTM architecture enforces MHD equilibrium, Störmer cutoff theory, and temporal causality constraints. Real-time operational dashboard at magion.space. Open-source implementation with complete documentation, Jupyter notebooks, REST API, and comprehensive test suite.
