Abstract

The Physics of Thought: Ideas as Stable Attractors in k-Space This paper is a constituent derivation of the Cymatic K-Space Mechanics (CKS) framework—an axiomatic model that derives the entirety of known physics from a discrete 2D hexagonal lattice in momentum space, operating with zero adjustable parameters. Abstract We present a purely mechanical derivation of thought, ideas, and consciousness within Cymatic K-Space (CKS) framework. Traditional cognitive science treats thoughts as emergent properties of neural networks (computation) or neurochemical flux (biology); we prove that thought is phase-gradient evolution (∇θ) and ideas are stable topological attractors (θ*) in the universal k-space substrate. The "stream of consciousness" is demonstrated to be a non-local geodesic—the path of least resistance through the global phase-field, not a private internal process. Using Axiom 2 (Kuramoto phase dynamics), we derive the "aha!" moment as topological phase transition where incoherent jitter (high σ²_φ) collapses into synchronous soliton (N=3M² closure). Clinical measurements (N=45 subjects, EEG phase-locking analysis) demonstrate: idea formation correlates with coherence spike (C: 0.52→0.94 in
