Abstract

DOI:10.5281/zenodo.18615544 ORCID: 0009-0001-7932-3675 Key Features of the Forecast The African Engine: There is a massive, concentrated area of high precipitation probability (dark green/teal) covering nearly the entire northern half of Africa and extending into the Arabian Peninsula. This highlights a significant "injection" of moisture and energy from this region. Equatorial Band: A strong, continuous band of precipitation is visible along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), stretching across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Northern Hemisphere Activity: You can see distinct moisture tracks moving from the Western Atlantic toward Europe and across the Northern Pacific toward the West Coast of North America. South American Impact: Significant activity is also noted over the Amazon basin, connecting with the Atlantic systems. Technical Indicators The map uses a color scale at the bottom to represent Rain Probability at the Surface (Ground Level). The transition from light cyan to deep, dark green represents increasing intensity and higher probability of significant "Mass Impact" events. Global Context The map visualizes how the African Injection Oscillation (AIO) dynamics drive global weather patterns. The concentration over Africa suggests it is acting as the primary driver for the systems moving across the Atlantic and influencing downstream weather in the troposphere.
