Supplementary material for "Improved regional mass change estimation using Slepian functions in a Kalman filter framework"
Abstract
This is the supplementary material for the article "Improved regional mass change estimation using Slepian functions in a Kalman filter framework" to be published in IAG Symposia Series (Springer). The supplementary material contains: - A zip file ("slepian-functions") with figures of the Slepian functions created for the studied region of central Europe and using a buffer width of 600 km. Slepian functions 1 to 156 are shown as those have an eigenvalue above 0.001, but only Slepian functions up to a rank of 90 are used. The number of the Slepian function k is shown in the upper left and the associated eigenvalue in the bottom right of each figure. The number of the Slepian function is also indicated in the filename: slepian_nr"k"_centraleurope.png All figures use the same colormap. - A zip file ("combined-data_all-months") with figures of all months showing: the reference data (data without noise) (upper left), the noisy data (upper right), the Slepian-Kalman-filter results using a buffer width of 600 km (lower left), the Slepian-Kalman-filter results using a buffer width of 900 km (lower right). The year and month is shown in the bottom left of each sub-figure. The year and month is also indicated in the filename: centraleurope_"year"-"month".png All figures use the same colormap.
