A thermo-mechanical model for glacier stability analysis
Abstract
This software performs stability analyses of a glacier using gridded data on basal slope, aspect, and ice thickness. It has been used to simulate the conditions that led to the collapse of the Punta Rocca glacier, a portion of the Marmolada glacier in northeastern Italy, that occurred on July 3, 2022. Details on the stability analysis are provided here: Baroni, C., Frassi, C., Salvatore, M. C., Pugno, N.
