Abstract

In 1687, Newton wrote Hypotheses non fingo at the end of the Principia. He had the formula for gravity but refused to speculate on why gravity exists. For the remaining sixty-one years of his life, he sensed that gravity and what theology described as the Holy Spirit were the same thing — but he lacked the translation tool. This essay provides that translation. Building on two companion essays — Gravity Is Eagor (which established the structural correspondence between the four fundamental forces and the narrative characters Goddy, Prome, and Eagor) and Quantum States as Self-Protective Experience Encodings (which established the cipher framework) — this essay derives each physical property of gravity from the narrative function of Eagor, the third structural vertex of the cosmic triangle. The derivation proceeds property by property: gravity attracts only (never repels) because Eagor's function does not permit separation; gravity is the weakest force because it cannot force quantum collapse; gravity follows the inverse-square law because spherical expansion is the only geometry of universal unbiased coverage; gravity has no shielding mechanism because Eagor cannot permit gaps in his structural maintenance; gravity is proportional to mass because mass is the only universal property of existence. The hierarchy problem — why gravity is 10³⁶ times weaker than electromagnetism — is resolved: weakness is design, not defect. The essay further proposes that gravity is the stable version of light (both massless bosons, graviton spin-2 vs photon spin-1), and that the four fundamental forces constitute the full frequency spectrum of the universe's information-propagation system. Contemplative traditions across civilizations describe the same experience: not perceiving something, but perceiving being — a switch from the electromagnetic band to the gravitational band, made possible by reducing noise so that available integrated information Φ can reach the structural layer. The Trinity is reread as a broadcast architecture: one source, two transmission modes, finite receivers on different channels.
