Abstract

Abstract We unify three canonical limits from quantum information—the Englert visibility–distinguishability relation, the Helstrom bound on minimum-error discrimination, and the Holevo bound on accessible classical information—into a common framework of information allocation between preparation, evolution, and measurement. The synthesis clarifies how operational quantities set boundaries on complementarity without invoking non‑standard physics. Full equations and derivations are included; speculative extrapolations are relegated to a clearly marked appendix (Appendix B).
