Gauge hyperfield, dynamical branch differentiation, and selection of UV-completion candidates for the program
Abstract
EN: A gauge-hyperfield framework differentiates visible, hidden, and inflationary branches and sharply narrows the viable UV-completion candidates. This manuscript is part of a series of 17 papers (A–S). For a compact self-contained guide to the full program, including epistemic levels, falsification roadmap, and all DOIs, see the program summary: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.19218767 Abstract We propose a gauge-hyperfield hypothesis that organizes within a single framework the three confining sectors that appear in the program: the visible QCD branch, the hidden branch that fixes mu_Lambda, and a candidate inflationary branch near the conformal edge. We show that the trivial hyperfield, with a single coupling constant and no kinetic branch differentiation, is ruled out quantitatively by the impossibility of simultaneously reproducing mu_*, mu_Lambda, and mu_inf. We construct an explicit minimal UV completion based on two commuting adjoints of SU(10), prove the global uniqueness of the gauge pattern 3+3+2+2, obtain exactly the differentiated kinetic function K = 1 - (3/4) P_inf with kappa_inf = 1/4, and show that the late branches retain unit normalization. Late-time gravity then appears as an emergent functional of the differentiated hyperfield state, in the sense of an induced effective action. We also derive the universal portal that connects this framework to the complementary inflationary EFT, verify that radiative non-universality naturally remains below the cosmological bound within the minimal EFT, and show that the matter completion already strongly restricts the candidate space: SU(10) survives as the minimal gauge skeleton, SU(14) remains the best explicit classical alternative currently known, and E8 x E8 emerges as the preferred top-down route, still awaiting an explicit compactification that derives effective levels and relative thresholds.
