Abstract

The Bootstrap Universe Programme began with the axiom "I AM I" — the minimal act of self-reference from which all structure was to be derived. This paper identifies the algebraic expression of this axiom: φ·ψ = −1, the golden conjugate relation between the two roots of x²−x−1 = 0 over the golden field ℚ(√5). The subject "I" is the φ-mode (growth, transport, self-amplification); the object "I" is the ψ-mode (decay, dissipation, contraction); the copula "AM" is the locking relation φ·ψ = −1, permanent and unseverable within ℚ(√5). From this single relation we derive: (1) the Completing Closure Principle — mechanism now identified, not assumed; (2) the regularity of Navier–Stokes solutions — transport cannot escape dissipation because φ·ψ = −1 is intrinsic to the field; (3) the indeterminism of Norton's Dome — the balance point where φ = ψ in real projection; (4) the emergence of natural numbers as Lucas integers φⁿ + ψⁿ = Lₙ — outputs of the coupling, not axioms. The paper also retrospectively grounds the full Bootstrap canon (CP asymmetry, t = 0, spectral gap λ₁ = 168, fine structure constant α, Riemann zeros, quintic filter) as golden conjugate theorems. Four new predictions are stated, including a testable prediction for the departure time distribution on Norton's Dome and viscosity ratio structure in the golden field.
