Abstract

This software record distributes a patch-and-tooling extension for Computer Programs in Seismology (CPS) 3.30, validated against the upstream archive NP330.Feb-11-2026.tgz. The bundle contains two feature additions. The first adds process-parallel spectral workflows for hspec96 and rspec96 by introducing compute-only and post-only execution modes in the CPS Fortran sources, together with wrapper scripts that split frequency calculations into chunks, run them in parallel, and merge the results while preserving byte-identical output relative to the validated serial baseline. The second adds a planetarization toolchain that creates body- specific CPS source trees from a local upstream distribution by rewriting hard-coded Earth ellipsoid, radius, km-per-degree, and optional layer-limit constants, using a packaged body database that includes Earth, Titan, Mars, and the Moon. The release includes upstream-relative patch files, wrapper scripts, Python tooling, JSON metadata, validation summaries, compatibility notes, redistribution guidance, and reference notes for the planetary constants. It does not include the full CPS source tree, compiled CPS binaries, or the upstream NP330.Feb-11-2026.tgz archive from https://rbherrmann.github.io/ComputerProgramsSeismology/.
