Abstract

This deposit presents a bounded conceptual paper within an ongoing multidisciplinary ontology and research program. The main manuscript develops a cross-domain ontology for analyzing trace failure, baseline misfit, representational undercoverage, and observer-conditioned interpretation across human judgment, psychiatric assessment, institutional classification, and machine evaluation. Its contribution is architectural rather than ex nihilo: it integrates established literatures into a typed framework that distinguishes event history from time-as-agent, origin continuity from identity continuity, reference representation from intrinsic system state, and representational failure from observer-conditioning failure. The manuscript is accompanied by preliminary operational appendix content. These supplementary materials provide fuller adversarial cases, compact coding logic, a mechanism-oriented crosswalk, and explicit internal falsifiability conditions. They are included to clarify scope, support adjudicative use, and make the paper’s limits transparent. They should not be read as completed empirical validation, finished calibration, or closed doctrine. This deposit should therefore be read as one stage in a standing developmental arc: a rigorously bounded ontology-and-distinction paper with attached support material, intended to preserve semantic discipline, improve cross-domain interpretive restraint, and reduce flattening errors in settings where labels, baselines, benchmarks, and score targets shape downstream action. The governing terminology is intentionally bound to a single disciplined ontology so that the same analytic objects can remain stable across areas of study; standard disciplinary vocabulary is used only where needed for institutional legibility and cross-domain translation, not as a replacement for the primary terminology.
