Abstract

This dataset contains daily meteorological and environmental measurements at the Gemini Solar Project, located in the northeastern portion of the Mojave Desert. Data were collected in four microsites inside the facility (panel array interspaces, under the panel, west panel dripline, and east panel dripline), and in one undisturbed desert area outside the facility. Refer to the Metadata.pdf file for an overview of the data. The complete description of the data can be found in a publication in Ecological Processes entitled “Ecovoltaic solar energy development creates novel microclimate, temperature, and soil moisture patterns under solar panels in a warm desert” by Pinos et al. (2026).
