Quantitative Tests of Non-Markovian Contact Electrification
Abstract
This preprint presents the quantitative testing layer of a non-Markovian theory of contact electrification. It formulates explicit scaling relations, null-model comparisons, and falsification protocols for triboelectric charge generation in open systems. The manuscript derives a master-collapse law for residual charge based on a tribological Deborah number, predicts measurable hysteresis under cyclic variation of separation speed, introduces waiting-time memory observables, and proposes a complementary relation between retained charge and dissipated heat under interfacial erasure constraints. The paper is written as a quantitative referee-facing framework: it does not claim new experimental data, but instead specifies how competing Markovian and non-Markovian models can be discriminated using controlled measurements of charge, heat, contact history, and relaxation timescales.
