Validating the Measurement Layer: Auditing Overlay Labels for Nonequilibrium Directionality Markers
Abstract
This deposit contains the Phase 4C measurement-layer audit manuscript, "Validating the Measurement Layer: Auditing Overlay Labels for Nonequilibrium Directionality Markers." The manuscript presents a measurement-layer audit of overlay labels for nonequilibrium directionality-adjacent markers, with emphasis on transparent adjudication, corpus curation, operational definitions, and per-field audit evaluation. It reports the audit design, label-validation workflow, and the resulting confusion-matrix style performance summaries used to assess overlay-label quality. This record contains the manuscript PDF only. Reproducibility bundles, tabular audit artifacts, and robustness-check materials are deposited separately in linked packet records.Note: On 2026-03-30, the manuscript and reproducibility zip packets were separated into distinct Zenodo records to conform to Zenodo record-typing standards. No file contents were changed; the update is metadata and record structure only. v1.01: Set manuscript as Preview.v1.02: Style-only update. Removed PDF link highlighting/boxes from wrapped \url{} text (no content or results changes).v1.03: Manuscript-only correction: Figure 1 (diagram and caption) now references run004/phase4_run004_INDEX.md (literal file index) instead of the audit_metrics_ _*_subset20.csv placeholder pattern. All data bundles and checksums unchanged. Note: Version v2 (10.5281/zenodo.18485525) was created in error during a metadata edit and contained no changes from v1.0.3. It has been deleted. The canonical version of this deposit is v1.0.3.
