Data underlying publication: Seasonal Flooding Modulates Ecosystem Resource Use Efficiencies in a Coastal Brackish Wetland
Abstract
This dataset is derived from eddy covariance observations conducted in a coastal brackish wetland in the Yellow River Delta from 2019 to 2022. It includes carbon and water fluxes, meteorological variables, and three types of resource use efficiencies (carbon, water, and light use efficiency). The fraction of photosynthetically active radiation data used to estimate absorbed photosynthetically active radiation was obtained from the MODIS LAI/FPAR product (MCD15A3H, https://earthdata.nasa.gov/data/catalog/lpcloud-mcd15a3h-061). The results indicate that seasonal flooding significantly affects ecosystem water use efficiency and light use efficiency, reducing them by 24% and 31%, respectively. This study provides important support for understanding the response mechanisms of coastal salt marsh wetlands to seasonal inundation.
