Abstract

This paper introduces and theorizes fotocroismo razbidtse, a photographic methodology employing X-cube dichroic prisms in K9 optical glass extracted from dismantled video projectors to fragment subjects into chromatically irreversible strata on the perceptual plane. Developed through a decade of practice (2014-2024) and formalized in 2025, this technique synthesizes optical physics, biographical memory, and archaeological thought to produce chroma-stratigraphic images. The central thesis converges on spatial collapse: the K9 prism simultaneously captures three distinct spatial directions in a single frame, producing photographic ubiquity — the subject exists in multiple locations in the same shot. This represents a categorical revision of the initial claim of chromatic fragmentation (v1, 2025), supported by ORB+RANSAC homography measurement confirming a robust mean refractive deviation of +1.86%. Version 9 introduces the Rione Alto corpus (Naples, March 2026), the first systematic before/after comparative pair on a real urban scene. The paper contextualizes the methodology within the contemporary landscape, identifying three distinct poles: the contemplative use documented by Noguchi Rika in Small Miracles (2022), the decorative use widespread on commercial platforms, and the epistemological use proposed here. Theoretical dialogue with Flusser, Barthes, Sontag, and Borgdorff situates the practice within the framework of practice-based artistic research. The original coined terms ,fotocroismo razbidtse, Fotografie Dioscuriche, Simmetria Totemica, are retained untranslated as proper names of specific methodologies.
