The Stone: An Integrated Overview of Concepts C, A, and B, Lantern of Sulfur, v12, April 2026
Abstract
This document presents an integrated view of physiological coherence within the Lantern of Sulfur framework, combining Concept C (constraint), Concept A (structure), and Concept B (execution) into a single, unified reference. The opening section (“The Stone”) introduces the central premise that coordinated physiology depends on stable environmental constraints. When these constraints are disrupted or inadequately compensated, a consistent sequence of system-wide instability emerges, including fluid redistribution, RAAS destabilization, electrolyte imbalance (notably chloride elevation and bicarbonate loss), disruption of breathing rhythm, bile stasis, reduced cellular energy, and multi-system strain. Concept C defines the conditions under which coordinated function is possible, identifying key environmental and physiological forces—such as gravity, pressure, circadian timing, and mineral availability—that constrain stable system behavior. Loss of these constraints produces repeatable patterns across scale, from cellular processes to whole-system physiology and ecological systems. Concept A describes how coordination is physically organized through linked relationships between fluid distribution, electrolyte gradients, breathing rhythm, bile flow, and autonomic regulation. These elements function as a connected pressure–flow system, where structural coupling determines whether signals are transmitted coherently or become distorted. Concept B addresses execution over time, emphasizing the role of timing and sequence in maintaining stability. Alignment between hydration, metabolic clearance, and circadian rhythm supports coordinated function, while misalignment leads to persistent instability even when individual components are addressed. Together, these three layers provide a framework for understanding physiological instability as a breakdown in coordinated constraint, structure, and execution, rather than isolated dysfunction of individual systems. This document is intended as a high-level synthesis, allowing readers to view the full system in a single, continuous structure.
