Certification & Mark Usage Policy v1.0: Certification Mark, Compliance Label, Authorized User, Suspension, and Revocation Policy for CAIS / Sal-Meter Systems
Abstract
This document establishes the canonical policy governing certification marks, compliance labels, authorized-user status, suspension, revocation, and public-usage boundaries within the CAIS / Sal-Meter framework. It defines the formal rules for:(1) certification-mark ownership,(2) compliance-label usage,(3) authorized-user status,(4) scope-limited mark use,(5) suspension and revocation conditions,(6) external laboratory and contractor mark restrictions,(7) competition and derivative-system mark limits,and(8) registry, audit, interpretation, and update rules. Its purpose is not branding control alone, but structural integrity:to prevent false certification, uncontrolled label inflation, implied authority transfer, and misuse of framework-linked marks or reviewed-status claims. Publication of this document does not grant any patent license, trademark ownership transfer, certification-mark ownership transfer, commercial exclusivity, canonical authority, or automatic right to use any certification label or controlled designation.Any such right may arise only through explicit written authorization, formal conformance review, certified status grant, or active authorized-user recognition issued by SICS. This document should be read together with the applicable canonical CAIS / Sal-Meter governance records, including claims-and-terminology control, compliance-boundary, device-class, derivative-system, and related architectural records maintained by SICS.
