All Truth is Local: An Enduring Diagnostic of Universal Truth Claims
Abstract
This bridge artifact in the philosophy lane of the Structural Flow library offers a portable structural diagnostic for universal truth claims. The paper does not attempt to replace religion, philosophy, science, or ideology with a new doctrine. Its claim is narrower: under conditions of Chance, entropy, imperfect knowledge, action under uncertainty, and bounded authority, claims that present themselves as universally valid tend to exceed the structures capable of carrying them when exported beyond the conditions that generated them. Using that grammar, the artifact examines why universal truth claims recur, why they feel compelling, how local coherence becomes mistaken for global authorization, and why those extensions fail in repeatable structural ways. It then offers a portable diagnostic test for examining scope, boundary, responsibility, recalibration, and the cost of failure without requiring prior commitment to any replacement worldview.
