Coupled Atmospheric-Seismic Triggering: Phononic Media and Avalanche Phase Transitions under AMST
Abstract
Predictive seismology relies heavily on probabilistic forecasting and the Coulomb FailureStress (∆CFS) threshold. This paper introduces a deterministic, coupled triggering framework utilizing Amplitude Modulated Spacetime (AMST). By modeling the geomechanicalfault matrix as a bistable potential energy landscape, we demonstrate that shallow seismicruptures are not isolated stochastic events, but deterministically forced avalanche phasetransitions. This framework relies on a sequential dependency: cumulative seasonal moisture loading creates a highly saturated, phononic acousto-elastic medium that bridges theatmospheric-lithospheric acoustic impedance mismatch. Once this medium is established, severe atmospheric events (e.g., explosive cyclogenesis) transmit low-frequency infrasonicwaves deep into the crust. This establishes a phase-locked loop with the localized resonanteigenfrequency of the fault matrix, collapsing the structural potential well and triggering immediate energetic release across all seismic scales. Strict mathematical falsification criteriaare provided to empirically test this coupled dependency
