A Deterministic Taxonomy of Macroscopic Seismic Triggering under AMST: Expanding the Bistable Potential Well Model
Abstract
The Amplitude Modulated Spacetime (AMST) geomechanical framework models shallow fault boundaries as bistable potential energy landscapes. While previous iterations established the deterministic role of coupled atmospheric-seismic phase-locking and anthropogenic fluid injection, a comprehensive taxonomy of macroscopic forcing is required to fully define triggered seismicity. This paper expands the AMST framework into a unified field model, categorizing deterministic avalanche phase transitions across five distinct macroscopic branches: Acousto-Elastic (Atmospheric and Teleseismic), Fluid-Kinetic (Meteoric and Anthropogenic), Gravitational (Solid Earth Tides), Electromagnetic (Piezoelectric Coupling), and Thermoelastic Strain. By defining the localized mathematical parameters for each forcing mechanism, we demonstrate that all macroscopic triggers operate by degrading the Kramers escape barrier of the local matrix, proving that shallow lithospheric ruptures are deterministic outcomes of continuous multi-modal wave interference.
