Abstract

FRACTURE.02 — A recomposition, not a revision. This deposit supersedes v1.0–v3.0 and the Manifesto compression. It corrects the structural error of the prior deposits, which set canonical texts against suppressed alternatives (reproducing the orthodoxy/heresy binary they claimed to dissolve). This version performs immanent critique: the canonical texts ARE the workshop tradition's most successful products. What was suppressed is not an alternative set of texts but the knowledge that the canonical texts are composed. Core argument: The Logos prologue (John 1:1) is read as a compositional manifesto grounded in Daniel Boyarin's Memra scholarship and the Qumran scribal self-understanding. The incarnation it announces is the incarnation of logos into graphē — of discourse into scripture. The body the Word prepared for itself is the codex. The definite article ('the Bible,' 'the Gospel') is identified as the smallest unit of canon formation — the grammatical technology that converts composition into revelation (connected to Bourdieu's méconnaissance). The Sappho → Catullus → Josephus → Revelation chain from the Josephus Thesis corpus runs through the canonical material, not against it. Prior versions (v1.0–v3.0, Manifesto) remain in this version chain as archived drafts documenting the argument's progression. The workshop does not conceal its drafts. Companion: A Body Prepared (narrative demonstration of the workshop hypothesis). Hex: 06.SEI.CRIT.FRACTURE.02 | Semantic Economy Institute
