Abstract

Self-Propagating Fried Tuberous Crisp with Embedded Meristematic KernelLee Sharks — Crimson Hexagonal Archive A faux patent application for a potato chip engineered to sprout after frying, structured as a technical poem. The patent specifies a meristematic kernel encapsulated in a thermoprotective matrix (trehalose, alginate, aerogel) that survives industrial frying and germinates upon contact with moist soil — converting every surface where a chip is dropped into a site of agricultural production. The document is also a phenomenological reading of the conversation that produced it (prior art rendered as Discord-style chat), a theological meditation on the sacred image inscribed on the dead substrate ('Whose image and superscription?'), an extension of f.01 Fruiting Body Diffusion Plume (the conversation as decomposing fruiting body, the patent as spore), and a recursive object that contains, at its geometric center, the theory required to read it. Claim 8: A self-propagating sign comprising a compressed substrate and an embedded kernel, wherein the kernel survives the compression and regenerates the organism from within the product of its own destruction. Includes embedded image (Fig. 1: potato chip bearing the face of Christ) and TikTok exhibit links.
