Confidence-Tier Grading for 96D Octonion Collapse in the AOI Pipeline (Monster-Group Alignment Withdrawn)
Abstract
Embeds monstrous moonshine structure (McKay 1978, Conway-Norton 1979, Borcherds 1992) into the AOI 96D octonion collapse pipeline. The architecture's 96D = 4 × 24 Leech shell geometry maps naturally to the Moonshine Module V♮ (rank-24 Leech lattice), enabling J-invariant Fourier coefficient grading across the four collapse shells. The module encodes: - J-invariant coefficients (1, 196884, 21493760, 864299970) as shell coupling weights spanning a 30× log-normalized range - Monster group irreducible representation dimensions (r1=1 through r7=293,553,734,298) with verified decomposition: J_n = Σ multiplicity × r_k - Moonshine alignment metric measuring topological correspondence between Betti numbers, Fano associator norms, and Monster grading structure - Four-level moonshine grade (J_0 through J_3) classifying algebraic depth of collapsed signals Key results: - J-invariant self-recognition: grade 3, alignment 0.91, topo confidence 1.000 - Voodoo-embedded J-invariant: moonshine alignment 0.978 - Regime discrimination: flat/trending/volatile markets resolve to distinct moonshine grades without training - Feature selector resonance peak at ~5× shell weight, emergent from Monster representation structure - All metrics computed via SimulatedAnnealing (no quantum hardware required) Extends DOI chain: 18690444, 18722487, 18809406, 18809716, 18889266, 19560890, 19650226. Erratum (2026-07-29): The Monster-group grading defined in this record is withdrawn as a reported quantity. The grader does not depend on the Monster group at all: 0 of 120,000 published grades change when every Monster-derived constant is replaced with a fabricated surrogate, because the J-invariant coefficients and representation dimensions cancel algebraically under the final normalisation, and the fabricated constants even beat the real ones in a best-fit contest (p = 0.974). Consistent with that, the grader assigns Grade 3 to pure Gaussian noise — 26.2% under the original rule, rising to 41.2% under the patch shipped in 10.5281/zenodo.20342613 and 71.0% under the current rule, with the direction reproduced under a second noise normalisation — so no recalibration can recover the intended measurement. All other measured quantities in this record are unchanged, since the grade is a terminal readout never fed back into the pipeline. See 10.5281/zenodo.21667059.
