Abstract

Description This release provides the source code and datasets supporting the manuscript: "Discrete Boltzmann Modelling of Sediment Transport in Dam-Break Flows over Erodible Beds"** Overview A discrete Boltzmann model (DBM) framework is developed to simulate sediment transport processes in dam-break flows over erodible beds, accounting for both bedload and suspended load transport. The hydrodynamic component is solved using a DBM with a second-order non-oscillatory, parameter-free dissipation scheme for the convective term and a first-order Euler scheme for time integration. Sediment transport is modeled using lattice Boltzmann formulations for the advection–diffusion equation (suspended load) and the Exner equation (bed evolution). Contents This repository includes: Source code for the coupled hydrodynamic–sediment transport model Input files for one- and two-dimensional dam-break test cases Scripts for post-processing and visualization Example configurations for model validation Reproducibility All numerical experiments presented in the manuscript can be reproduced using the provided code and input datasets. Instructions for running the simulations are included in the repository. Notes This version corresponds to the initial public release associated with the manuscript submission. Future updates may include additional test cases, model extensions, and performance improvements.
