The Finite Agent Axiomatic System (FAAS): A Unified Framework for Social Science
Abstract
This book constructs a rigorous axiomatic foundation for social science, taking the existence of the finite agent as an unassailable pre-theoretical starting point. It defines three formal conditions of the agent: autonomous judgment, selective action, and intrinsic preference ordering, from which three fundamental axioms are logically deduced: Generalized Benefit-Seeking and Harm-Avoidance, Endogenous Scarcity, and Information Incompleteness and Asymmetry. These axioms form a closed-loop, self-consistent system. By introducing Infinite Being as a logical reference, the book proves the ontological necessity of the axioms for finite agents. It further develops systemic dynamics of agent-environment co-evolution and derives key theorems including the Theorem of Co-presence, Agentization Cost, System Saturation Ω, and the Inexactitude Theorem for Finite Social Systems. This unified framework consistently explains individual action, collective emergence, institutional change, class, power, and revolution, while upholding the logical space for autonomous choice and value pursuit.
